In December 2020, the 5th China Innovation Challenge Competition and the 4th Zhongguancun Emerging Fields Topic Competition will be held in Fengtai Emerging Industry Base, Zhongguancun.
Zhang Jinsong, Deputy Secretary-General of Beijing Municipal People's Government, Hu Jinwu, Director of Information Center of Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and Zhai Lixin, Director of Zhongguancun Management Committee attended the event, visited the technical achievements exhibition of the special competition and participated in the award ceremony. In addition, more than 400 people from investment institutions, participating enterprises and other units participated in the on-site activities.
The UAV team of Weilan New Energy won the winning prize of the 5th China Innovation Challenge and the 4th Zhongguancun Emerging Fields Special Competition (the first prize in the special competition) for its "High Energy Density Low Temperature Resistant UAV Battery Scheme".

The China Innovation Challenge is a national technological innovation service activity organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology to promote scientific and technological innovation and the transfer and transformation of achievements. Zhongguancun Emerging Fields Special Event is a special event centered on the emerging fields of national strategy. The competition was launched in June under the guidance of Ministry of Science and Technology, Logistical Support Department of CMC, Science and Technology Commission of CMC, Military Academy of Science and Technology, and co-organized by Torch High-tech Industrialization Development Center of Ministry of Science and Technology, Management Committee of Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park, Information Center of State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, military and military-related demand theme units.
A total of 168 requirements were released for the competition, including 119 technical problems and 49 technical achievements promotion requirements. A total of 152 units, groups and individuals from 20 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions submitted 224 solutions. It covers eight areas, including new energy and power devices, artificial intelligence, big data, unmanned systems, and cyber security and communications.
