On June 6, 2024, the 220 kV Zhejiang Longquan Semi-Solid Energy Storage Power Station Project was successfully delivered. So far, the Zhejiang Longquan ESS Power Station Demonstration Project, one of the grid-side energy storage projects with the highest grid-connected voltage level in Zhejiang Province, has been successfully connected to the grid using semi-solid batteries. This project is one of the new grid-side Semi-Solid ESS projects in Zhejiang Province during the 14th Five-Year Plan period.

The project is located in Changwen plot, Anren Town, Longquan City, Zhejiang Province, close to 500kV/220kV Jianchuan transformer substation, with a total area of about 40 acres. The construction scale of this phase is 100MW/200MWh, and the construction scale of the second phase is 100MW/200MWh. The main equipment includes energy storage prefabricated cabin, inverter booster integrated cabin, integrated building, booster transformer, etc. Charging and discharging work is carried out according to dispatching needs to solve problems such as new energy consumption, local electric grid congestion, frequency and voltage regulation, and substation overload operation.

    This ESS power station uses WeLion's mass-produced 280Ah semi-solid energy storage battery, which has the characteristics of high safety and long cycle life, and will help new energy storage power stations continuously improve their safety level.
